"Driver does not work for a SP1000 under Win 98 SE.

But I think that the printer firmware is in question.

The panel of my printer is refering to 'HPLJ3 '(though the HP driver LJ III is not suitable either)

In my opinion firmware is for DOS or old Windows version and should be removed first and replaced by the original or by one compatible with the OS.

Who knows

"Tried to use it for minolta sp 1000, under win98. Didn't work at all. It printed 3 pages of garble, instead of 'test 123' Same with win98 test page...."
