"This driver worked wonderfully, I mean there were no hassles.

I just plugged the sound card to the motherboard and extracted the zip file

I downloaded yesterday (als4000xp.exe) Thank you very much."

"I'm glad to find this driver on your site. I remain curious why XP doesn't contain it out of the box, however. However, I had two other devices for which I had to import drivers for.

"This Driver does not want to open with WinZip and it is a zip file. When I try to open it, it refers me back to downloading, saying it is not the correct zip file or it was not downloaded properly, try to download it again if it was downloaded. Why?

Please help me on this."

"It helped me out alot because, the .exe also placed sndvol.exe which is the Windows Advanced Audio Mixer back in the System & system32 folders or where ever they were meant to be. I think that the skin or GUI could be alot better and user friendly, as it is rather taky..!! If there is a better driver or program for this i'd like to know. i.e. Like the creative audio mi

"The driver is worthless: As soon as it is installed and the first sound is made, Windows XP hangs. If you tried this one and System restore fail, delete anything that starts with ALS and ends in .sys from your Windows directory (should be two files), attaching the hard drive to another PC."

"I tried this driver, but couldn't get Windows XP Professional build 2600 to recognize it. When I tried to install it I got a message saying that the file folder did not have any information related to the hardware. I have emailed the manufacturer and am still waiting for a reply. If the problem is not resolved in a short period of time, I will be purchasing a sound card
