"This card nearly went in the trash, but because of past experience on this board, I decided to give it a try. I am a tech who is breathing new life into an old white box built with AOpen parts. The card is an AOpen FX-3D plus with the AD 1816 chipset. The driver installed this card beautifully in XP! Thanks very much!"

"Increíble!!, en Windows XP no funcionaba, al instalarlo te dice que no va a funcionar, que no está probado, pero después de instalado funciona... recuerden quitar todas las pruebas antes instaladas porque sino no funciona... Muchas gracias..."

"Works Great! Thanks, I have several HP Kayaks, XA-s/D5769T and XU/D5702T Bios= HK-11.11 SoundChip= AD1816A Bios AudioChip Setting= Auto CD-ROM Settings= Enable Digital Signal. (Optional, you may need to disable this feature if you are having sound problems?). When installing this driver a warning will appear as it is not Digitally signed by Micosoft, Select to "Continue

"This driver is a godsend!!! I wasted 40 hours over 5 days installing the f**ing drivers from HP's website only to re-install and re-format the hardrive 4 times. I installed this driver (under hardware, add new device, audio, and then browse to the directory where you have the driver), rebooted and then aaaahhh - the sweet sound of a "Plop" out of my speakers and MUSIC Ye

"I used this on a HP Kayak that has the AD1816 on the motherboard. While XP reported an error during installation and wanted me to send an error report to Microsoft, the driver seems to work fine. Thanks for posting the driver."

"Thanks! I spent many hours trying to find this driver for my HP Kayak XA-S, but had to install an additional soundcard to get sound in XP. Now I can free this (much needed) pci slot again."
