"Installed this driver under Windows XP SP2 on an IBM T42 laptip with no issues. This driver is dated 2003. Note that the driver dated 2005 does not work and this is the reason I had to download the 2003 version."

"This is a stable and average-to-use quality for the average support personnel without pro-cut skills in XP : I just used the driver-update tab in System and the .inf driver patch got invoked and my sound was restored without a re-start. A rarely excellent driver."
