"Even though the modem was marked ENF656-PCI-MOPR it required the ENF656-PCI2-MOPR driver to work. Stupid Agere/Phoebe winmodems suck! too many damned verison of the same modem so the drivers are varied."

"This driver does NOT work with Windows XP. It partially installs, but then the New Hardware Found wizard alerts you that the driver is not XP-compatible. If an admin reads this, I reccomend that they modify the list of operating systems for this driver appropriately.

An identical driver package downloaded from this site about three years ago was compatible and worked w

"The Driver works fine, thanks Freddy and thanks Driver Guide people, your site is great. I have tried with another SM56 driver but it didn't work. With this, no problem the driver recognized the modem at first try. I only had to reboot the machine for the system to see the modem COM port (It did't work before rebooting)."
