"This driver does work in XP, but you do have to be careful about how you install it. If you just go with the Windows XP detect and install, it will fail because although there are drivers for the HPT370 RAID controller bundled with XP, they are broken and won't complete the install. rom the list of devices and click the "Have disk" button. Then you choose the folder where you unzipped the downloaded driver. YOU MUST DO THIS because Windows will prefer its own certified (but non-working) drivers over the downloaded, non-certified (but working) drivers. The install will *only* complete if you force Windows to use the downloaded drivers instead of its own."
