"This appears to be an upgrade only, so I am back for the drivers to install the device 1st. Once I install the original, I'll attempt the upgraded driver again.

I love driversguide, it has bailed me out many times.

"hi.. i have windows xp pro and a sony CRX175E looking for WORKING drivers as someone else had problems like me BLUE SCREEN (BSOD) all the time with default xp drivers... something with redbook.sys stop error 0x000000CE or 0x0000007E .. please help me (email me with driver links please??)"

"Ok i need drivers for the sony CRX175E Im am running windows XP PRO and when i go to my computer there is no cd icons and i tried uninstalling the drivers and it didnt work some one please help"

"Ok here is the problem. I have a Sony CRX175A with memory stick reader. The memory stick reader works fine, XP will detect the CD-R but I cant access it. Any one got a suggestion"

"I need the driver itself for the Sony CRX175E for XP. The one that comes with XP doesn't work. I get crashes all the time with the default driver that XP loads."

"Hi a driver for the CRX 175a1 isnt needed i tried Nero 5.5.8.0 under XP and the Sony burns like h.... ) My suggestion is try a other burning prog. if the sony doesnt work!!"

"Ok. Here's the deal. This drive is Plug and Play in a windows environment. There ARE NOOO drivers! trust me i know this for a fact. If your drive is not showing up or not working, call in to tech support. the number is 800-588-3847."
