"I have a matsonic ms8208ep-266 with an amr modem that i confused with smlink (windows did too this confusion) and, with the latest drivers from smlink i got an error that was like "this driver can not control the codec you have installed" (or something...). After forcing this driver to install (ignore eventual windows warnings) everything went on track"

"Thankyou!!!!!!!!! This is the driver that allows sound after AMR modem is initiated - mentioned repeatedly in google groups, but no location (5th one I have tried for K7S5A mobo - worked with Driver from SIS's Page (6 meg download) (not sure if that made a difference - not going to uninstall it to find out!) IRQ issue I believe (AMR, Sound, AGP? all try to use same IRQ (1
