"Seems the device to be damaged once Win cannot take information from the modem at "diagnostic" time, no matter the driver or setup program I try to use."

"This driver did not worked with my modem detected under Win98 SE French as "Sportster 56000 Voice Internal" On board the model = 0484, Sticker = "21ME2AR7UH05 66174900 R 2". I finaly succeded the installation this way -set the jumber on board to COM2 - disable COM2 in the BIOS - Rebooted in "safe mode" to delete Modem entries in device manager and COM2 Port - add/remove H

"Didn't work. Illegal operation, weird graphics etc. Printer happily started printing blank pages. Trash. Doesn't appear to be a virus though. )"
