This is the same file as the Win2k posted for this scanner, but it also works in a WinXP environment. My bundled drivers for the other Win OSs would not work, but this one appears to.

"cannot get any driver to work the scanner, have tried everything. xp will not allow it. I downloaded the file PB61248.zip and found that 2 files were downloaded - 12kCUusd Setup info (3kb)and USBSCAN System File 9kb. How do I open these to get a valid scanner driver. Please help."

How to Update PB61248 Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
