"Driver does not give 3D compatibility wiht Windows xp home -- I never tried driver with Windows 98 but I don't want to go to all the trouble of reinstalling operating systems.. I may have just been unlucky and purchased a used laptop without 3d capability."

"Windows XP nativly recognizes the NeoMagic256 chipset and works better then this driver. I could not uninstall the NeoMagic driver. I re-installed Windows XP and the display works better then with this driver."

"I am trying to find a neomagic driver that will allow laptop and external monitor to be "extended" (Dual screen). This driver although works ok with my Sony Vaio; however it does not allow "dual-screens" :-( It only clones the laptop content on the external monitor."

yet, the display is TOO big to fit in the TV screen size!!!

"I installed this on a Tecra 8000 running Windows XP. It works for TV out, though there is a bit of flicker when displaying graphics with very thin lines. Yes, you have to go past the warning that says it isn't digitally signed. I couldn't find any Neomagic driver that was digitally signed with the official Microsoft seal of approval. "I have an IBM thinkpad 600E with a Neomagic (NM2200) 256AV video chipset. Windows XP's built-in driver does NOT support TV-out at all (not sure about dual display, I'm not interested in that...) and is listed as version 5.31 or something similar. If you use this driver (or just go to the source at IBM (win2k driver version 5.39) www-3.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.

"Worked great on CT7020. At first the "dual view" was greyed out, until I discovered that you have to set the resolution to 16 bit. At 24 it "greys" the TV option."

"I loaded this on a Toshiba Tecra 8000. The image was not filling th screen before and now it is. Be sure to select the "Plug and Play" monitor for the image to fill the screen completely."

"If you're lookin for IMB Thinkpad 600 drivers, you can use it with no problems... Some IMB laptops hangs up under native XP drivers then you've here the solution!"
