However I would like to be able to turn off the camera as it has bright leds that come on as the light drops.

"I'm still unsure if it is a compatability issue, but my VIMicro webam is not showing a viewable picture. It is marginally better than the d/l I used from the manufacturer's web site (which showed up in Chinese). I will keep looking."
