"I was begining to think that my modem or line was faulty until I found this driver. I was previously using the Thompson (alcatel) speedtouch 330 usb driver which was ok'ish on win98se and was supposed to drive xp too (but I could'nt get it to work). This driver went in ok, on install when it "said" that I was overwriting newer files I allowed that, xp also &quo

"Rubbish.. "This installation program could not find your configuration file(s), contact your internet service provider". JUST LIKE the one off the website. :-("

"Just what I was looking for. I have a perfectly serviceable Speedtouch modem that had lost its associated software on a PC upgrade. This has restored it to good use. Particularly of note is the fact that you are NOT prompted for software from a previous install - an achilles heel which the Alcatel site would do well to remove.

"The installation asked for the original CD which I don't have. I have already run what I thought was a driver installation file which turned out to be an upgrade, this may have caused problems with this file?"

"This package is ideal for those signing up to a "wires only" adsl package, if your driver software asks for a config file or phonebook just point it to the directory you extracted the files to."
