"Yes this will work with Windows 2000 or Windows 2000 server and it really runs fast even with only 128Mb of SDRam. Simply download this and copy to a 1.44 floppy disk drive setup windows 2000 and hit F6 when it show a screen with the F6 screen.

But didn't work with Windows Xp service pack 2."

"I've got the same problems as the last two comments of Haggis and Goncalo. When i shut down my computer, the HD clicks and spins a couple of times and then shut down. I've tried about anything but nothing helps. I have XP and two HD's, a Maxtor and a Western Digital. I looked over the WWW and there a lot more people having the same problem...'Highpoint' didn't solve this p

"Goncalo - did you sort this problem? I'm having exactly the same issue I think. I have the V1.30 beta driver and bios installed on a BE6 board. When the PC shuts down, the hard disk parks (click) and then spins up again. It does this 3-4 times before finally switching off. Also the bios only detects my Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 as a UDMA mode 3 device instead of mode 4.

"Do I have to install XP from the CD-ROM as it boots up? I guess from the comments here this is the only way to get XP to work with this driver."

"Worked fine on my BE6 II 1.1/1.2.Initially had to load XP on IDE bus. Ran XP and find hardware found 2 yellowed icons picked SCSI Raid controllers. Did twice for Pri & Sec. Moved drive from IDE to Ultra DMA bus. Worked. Noticed WD slower than IDE. Noticed on startup HT366 screen had PIO rather than UDMA4 had to use WD floppy to set ATA from 100 to 66. Now works fine."

"You have to press F6 when prompted by WinXP to install this driver. Then wait until it asks you to specify additional devices. It works fine on my BE6."

"This particular driver did not work on my BP6 Mobo. I decided to try it although it was really for the Be6. I am having a hard time finding a driver that doesn't give me the BSOD (blue screen of death). I tried this one, but it just locked up at the welcome screen w/o the blue Knightrider startup light. Sam"
