"It is clear this driver was included with previous versions of Windows. Why they removed it in XP is beyond me. What is truly silly is that "Add New Hardware" though it did have the driver.

Install went smoothly and fast. There is no install utility so I used Windows' "Add New Hardware" wizard.

I was also glad it fit on a floppy, as the computer

"The driver worked fine however the HP xw4100 BIOS had no provision to stop the PC from trying to boot from the SCSI drive. Tried all sorts of configurations but nothing worked."

"I got the same message about the driver being written for win95 and the way I got it to work was to choose manually select driver and I secected SCSI controller on the other screen that showed buslogic I chose have disk then specified the location of the files and it worked perfectly."

"I have the Buslogic Flashpoint LT adaptor and the process suggested by Joe User worked excellent for me using XP Home Edition and SP1a. Just follow his directions carefully and presto!!! Thanks to you Joe for your help...I was considering the possibility of buying another scsi card so I can still use my scanner with XP."

"The driver failed for me. However after getting a Stop 0x0000007B blue screen. Im trying to install the driver at the specify additional devices f6 prompt During the initial XP setup. Its looking for oemsetup.txt file on the a drive. Has anyone loaded the driver this way?"

"I dont know about the problems the others had but I just installed the driver on a clean xp install w/sp1 and updates and it worked like a charm. Picked up my old 2k formatted drive to boot... Thanks for finding the driver and posting it!"

"Joe User's instructions worked for me as well. I consider myself pretty k nowledgable about computers. When I encountered the "this driver may be for Windows 95" error, i thought the driver would not work. After following the steps Mr. User points out, the driver works perfectly. "I found need do this (XP Pro no updates) Computer Management | Device Manager | ?Scsi | Update Driver * Install from a list or specific location THEN bottom of 3 options (not middle) and then ignore it's choice and choose "Have Disk", and then highlight the Flashpoint (which looks unchanged) and then get yellow question mark and Next and say that it's OK it is unsigne

"Couldn't get it to work under XP Pro. Says that the inf file is missing an entry possibly because it was written for Win95 or before. Any ideas?"

"I've got same problems with this driver. WinXP says 'there is a missing line in .inf file. This device cannot be installed.' Please, hepl if somebody knows how!TX"

"Works under windows xp profesionnal, but y have to install the driver manualy cause sure it's not signed by windows xp (When you are about tu update the driver choose "don't search , i'll choose the driver" then just select the drivers on your disk. Thaks M Rob Lane"

"the install for the driver appeared to be working alright, but the microsoft message still appears saying the device is not working properly. how did you install this new driver on your machine, and which version of xp are you running?? any help is appreciated!"

"this driver was a little weird to install but i got it to install,

follow these steps and you will have no problems,

Windows Xps device manager should have recognised it as some sort of scsi controller once installed this is required before you follow these steps

"had to use a file from this download to load another driver, ended up successfully reading the partition 2 of scsi drive but not partition one... this it told me was RAW file type and unrecognisable...anyone got any clues as to how i can get the data back off this part of the drive.....scsi bios seized up once i tried to get into it"

"Driver installed without a glich. Unfortenatelly OCE Scanner appeared to be incompatible with Windows XP. So I'll have to downgrade to Win3.11 if only find scanner software..."

1) In Device Manager, right-click on the Mass Storage Controller entry under SCSI & RAID Controllers and select Update Driver.

"Could't figure out how to install the driver. Apparently XP already has a SCSI driver? After I put in the SCSI card, the boot-up process finds it, but indicates no SCSI devices found, and locks up after that. If I pull the card and try to use the XP add hardware program it informs me to first put in the card."

"This is messed up! I had the Mylex BT-948 (which uses the buslogic.sys driver and has the SAME issues)working in XP Pro since XP came out (running my scanner). NOW after upgrading my system and reinstalling XP, I have the same problems as everyone here. Microsoft is #$%&@# with us! IT WORKED UNTIL THEY DECIDED THEY DIDN'T WANT IT TO ANY MORE!!!"
