"I have read the feedback on the successes reported with Bob Macdonald's CMI8330_XP.zip download file. I too have downloaded it and found three files there, one being the instalXP.txt with the comprehensive instructions. Before I start I would like to check if this is appropriate for the Sound PRO HT1869V+ chip because that is what I searched for and what came back included

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
