"Upgrade was impossible, because of the fact that I had a machine that already had Windows XP on it. The read me text says that you must copy the all files (autoexec.bat,utilities and HEX File) to a floppy disk. But XP doesn't allow you to boot from a floppy to perform the upgrade. "I attempted to install in an XP system. The read me text says that you must Copy the all files (autoexec.bat,utilities and HEX File) to a floppy disk. Can't find out how to do this in XP. Ran the exe anyway and there was no change in the firmware. Nero 5.5 still does not reconize the NR 7700A CDRW."

"this file is bit hard to install, if this is the orig file from nec.com, you have to refer to the read me file to install it and it's the driver's firmware application."
