Hi me again, the url I left the last time was a broken link, but try this one I think it will work.
Its OpenGL drivers for the Trident Cyberblade i1 / Ai1 under Windows XP or Windows 2000
First, the computer in question. A Toshiba Satellite 1405-S151. ( a laptop )
Second, The OS is Windows XP Pro
Several info aplications all reported that the Graphics chip is a Trident Microsystems CyberBlade XP Ai1.
HARDWARE ID: PCI\VEN_1023&DEV_8820&SUBSYS_00011179&REV_82
I downloaded 3 of the most likely looking files from D
1) cyberblade-xpail.exe (T882022iNP.INF) (NO install.exe)
2) p2kvidx.exe (T882022I.INF) . (install.exe and ChResW2K.exe)
3) s180vid2.exe (T862022I.inf) (install.exe and DrvUpdt.exe)
Before I started, I unpacked all 3 files into seperate sub directories and ran a duplicate file finder on the lot to see what dupication there was. "cyberblade-xpai1.exe" and "p2kvidx.exe" had 27 identical files but "p2kvidx.exe" had extra items that seemed to be a full intall exe and supplements and also the ".inf" files were very similar but not identical and not quite named identically either. The "s180vid2.exe" also had 8 matching files and a similar but not identical ".inf" file again.
This self extracting archive contains an install exe. It ran faultlessly without more from me that one double-click. The same Toshiba blue/green screen and messages as with the "p2kvidx.exe". It also produced the same 'perfect' result, a successful installation.
After trying all 3 of the above files and achieving success with ALL of them I just wonder a little if it's not a case of agregation. Hovever, not one of the sucsessive 'installs' managed to ruin the previous one even though I know by inspection that all three INF files were slightly different.
I a hapy chap right now. Thanks DriverGuide.
