"Windows 2000 had support for 610P. I had that on a dual boot PC. Upgrated Me partition to XP, Installed VistaScan, then used this UMAX.INF file to make it recognise the scanner. For each file it could not find, I did a search of the 2K partition, and entered the path in the dialog. (pasted from file properties dialog)."

"got the same results using my Jazz drive drivers......none!.find the 3.55 update for the UMax and load them...they work great but don't expect to get them from UMax unless you want to pay for the disk."

"Battling to find the right driver for an E-Lux scanner. On the the back it says ENHANS model V3610A. After installation on your screen: IMS Shell. I'am using XP Home. Can somebody help .... it worked perfectly with, believe me, with ME."

"I'm attempting to connect a UMAX VistaScan S8 to an XP opp' system. With this driver the scanner seems to be connected but an error comes up - "can't find the twain". I'm afraid my scanner 1.01 software is too old and I can't locate newer 3.5(x)parallel port versions as a download. Any ideas?"

"i am not satisfied with this site because i am not able to get the drivers for my scanner umax astra 1220p. my friend had said about this site but tis is good for nothing. when i am checking for drivers i am getting the s/w downloads of the scanner and i am not able to connect with that."

"This file WILL work! It is only the .INF file(needed to identify the model) not the software from the cd that came with the scanner when new. Use the Vistascan software AFTER the computer has indentified the scanner as the 2000P. Here we go Most likely Win(XP/2000) will not detect the driver correctly with the device manager and the scanner gets detected as an unknown c

"INFs are not enough, it must be accompanied by the required files like DLLs, SYSs, VXDs...etc, which obviously, this file is missing."
