"Thanks Phil,I can use my scanner now--you wouldn't know how to get my Epson Stylus 600 Color to work properly(it prints but can't use software-ie ink levels)? I agree with Mr.Milne that I won't be buying anything Umax because of their money grab. Thanks again."

"Estimado Phil No logro hacer que llendo a panel de control, agregar dispositivos de imagenes, direcciono donde esta el inf y me dice que no contiene la informacion del dispositivo solicitado. Tambien quisiera saber como se cambia la llave del registro desde ya muchas gracias y agradezco vuestra atenciòn flavio brusatin"

"This solution worked great with my Umax 1200S scanner, which also uses the IS-11 SCSI adapter. There was no need to change any Regestry settings, just install the driver over the install wizards objections. After installing the driver you will probably need to change your memory I/O settings, as suggested, with the device manager. I'm including a link to the FREE update

"This worked as advertized. I thought I had lost my SSCI Scanner when I went to XP. One comment. I was able to install and have it work properly without doing the registry hack."
