"The only problem I received was torward the end about PCL file was not found in a temp directory. That was only reason why I did not give it an excellent rating for the install. Just could be something on my system. No crashing after install, os still stable. The scanning software works and the OCR works as well."

"The driver installed without any trouble at all on a WinXP Pro system. Just unzipped the files & ran setup.exe. Tada - not even one glitch. Although I haven't tested everything, it seems to be doing exactly what it should."

"This driver works as it should. As a word of warning, intall the program into a new folder (such as hp311new) instead of jetsuite, or je95 or whatever the installation program suggests, if you have attempted to load a 3100 proram on your system already; even if it's currently not operational. Writing over the existing files causes an error that only creating a new file can

"After several mis-steps and actually ordering the CD from HP, I strolled across this driver (well, it's the full suite of apps) here. This was the ticket for XP Pro. Don't know why HP is so reluctant to freely publish this suite of software... Licensing issues apparently.. But if you own the SW and you lost the CD then you're schrewed. SO.... "If you are getting error messages saying "Out of memory" or that file is "Corrupt", try using WinZip or another unzipping program. The Windows XP built-in unzipper gave me those errors, I installed WinZip and it worked perfect. Thanks for the driver!"

"Thanks a lot! You rule! The drivers worked but not at first. Detected spool error during installation. When I tried to uninstall, I was told that uninst.isu was corrupted. Eventually worked it out and got it running. Printer's working perfectly. Thanks again."
