"Another user (from Sep 19, 2002) said this works for Astra 1200S on windows 2000. This driver is for a different scanner.

I trusted the instructions, but upon reboot, my system failed. Not sure what it clobbered. Had to do an emergency recovery to regain boot-up. /jv"

"Tried to execute download but it seems there are files missing on the C drive that it requires. Just get a error message box pop up for a nanosecond and noththing else happens."

"I still ended up with 8 devices loading in Device Manager for the one scanner. Bummer. I'll keep trying other drivers though!"

"Hye I need help!!!! I have the astra 1200s and my firmware is v2.9, but the scanner still will not work right:(

If I copy anything in true colors, It will work just fine. but If I try to change the settings to any black and white, the system starts too move slowly and stops responding. I have to turn off the scanner in order to unfreeze the system and close the program

"This is a joke! It doesn't unload in my computer > Message says that I don't have enough memory available. Yeah, right! All I have for a computer is a Pavilion 772c, brand new. If it can't run on this one, it's obviously a fake driver. My the way, UMAX has not come out with a driver yet for the 1200s to work on XP ....... stop posting this garbage and pack of lies!!!&qu
