"Doesn't work. The uploader has bumped a few 'excellent's in to make it look good, but it does not work with XP at all; I have tried it on multiple machines, and I keep getting the same error.

Is there a working copy of this driver anywhere?"

"No the driver will not make the Philips PCRW2400 CDRW burn CD's. If the unit is operational as a CD player then get a copy of NTI CD Maker Platinum. I installed this and it recognized the CDRW. and worked fine."

"At least these people try to get it right. I am sure they do not want to see stuff written bad about them because they tried, but did not succeed. Have a little dignity and let the people alone about, sheesh. SO what have any of you done, besides gripe and moan n groan about it not working correctly. Listen very carefully OK! With Windows XP you DO NOT need any drivers

"Does philips even make an XP driver for the pcrw1208...this is the only one I could find, and not only is it for the wrong model but the driver obviously doesn't work as uploaded."

"i couldn't install either. ERROR EXECUTING after I chose language for set-up. Anybody else having problems with philips cdrw 2412? I used it for couple of months and now it wont recognize any disks (new, used, empty..)it reads INSERT DISK after I put disk in."
