"I had a lot of trouble trying to find and install a driver for my SYM53C416 SCSI card. Every attempt caused things to be very unstable with crashes and restarts etc. This SYM53C16 SCSI card came with my old ScanJet 6100C scanner; XP doesn't support this scanner or SCSI card, in the way of drivers or any other software. I was just about ready to try to locate the upgrade SC

"I downloaded this driver 416w2k.zip and the 416w2kxp.zip. They both appear to achieve possitive results in XP. After we figured out how to extract or unzip the zip file so XP could see it during the manual installation, everything went GREAT! Now I can use my 'old' ScanJet 6100C again. Thanks big time!"

"I am bummed, it didn't help me. But, I have Win 98 and I was hoping that the driver might help me. I'll try it again in a couple of weeks when I get my new computer with XP. I hate having that 4c scanner just sitting there! Thanks for posting the driver though."

"Works beeeeeea-u-ti-"fully"! I'm using Win XP Pro. Willy, it does work, just make sure you have both sym41650.sys and sys41650.inf in the same location when you load the driver. Thanks Tom....Cheers!"
