All of the files needed for any generic SoftK56 Modem. Unzip and run setup. You will have to reboot for Windows to recognize an Com port and install it. Rebooting again will let you assign the port to the modem. This modem absolutly will not work with any processor that has less than MMX capability (to save a lot of headaches). If you must assign the modem to lpt1 temporarily, until rebooting, it can be re-assigned to whatever com port is created without a problem. Make sure the IRQ is assigned in CMOS setup and the address is reserved, after installation to the PCI slot you install it in. This will save much aggrevation before telephoning your ISP. P.S. Ask your ISP if they have a special dialup line for K56 as opposed to V.90 or V.92.
