"To get my webcam to work in Vista Enterprise, 32-bit, using drivers & app downloaded from the web:

downloaded file cm10701_icm.zip

extracted to a temp dir

Ran Vista Program Compatibility Wizard

with these options:

I want to locate the program manually

- <my temp dir>\98\Setup.exe

Select a compatibility mode for the program

- XP SP2

elect display settings for the program

- left all blank (default)

checked "Run this program as an administrator "

Although it looked like it was going to hang at 95%, it eventually installed.

Works. Play with the Amcap application.

"Followed the tip to run the install in compatability mode in Vista (Home Premium 32bit), and it all went fine. Once I plugged in the camera, drivers were installed automatically and it worked first time. Have been able to use the camera in SKYpe just fine..."
