"Did not install for my Conexant HSF modem in my Compaq 12XL104 running windows XP. Second driver I tried without success, maybe Compaq reported the incorrect model. If anyone knows of a better driver than the one XP uses for it please contact me!"

"This is THE fix for the modem noise problem for so many of the generic HSF type modems under WinXP. I have been searching for many months off and on (had removed modem till fix found). The creator of the file and the person who uploaded it here need to be commended. Well done.

"HHeeellpppp still have that really loud awful noise problem..... must not be doing it right... i removed the old soft data fax modem and than clicked on the setup.exe file...... it still makes the horrible sound which is making me nutty ,, can anyone advise??? Is it true i can just plug i cord into the speaker outlet on the pc and leave it unplugged to eliminate the noise

"It worked 4 me. I just replaced original conexant drivers that I downloaded prior to upgrading to XP. They worked but noisy! these are cool so silent ) The connection is a bit slower, but its just the first time, it could be better... cheers"

"My modem is a Rockwell modem and I search the entire web for suitable driver, none of them worked. This driver introduced my modem as Acorp IRW V.92 and I couldn’t believe my eyes, it worked!! And this is my first connection in Windows XP with my Rockwell modem using this driver. Andac Bagioglu, thanks a lot!!! Your driver was unbelievable!!"

"I'm going to install this right now, what I need is one whit voice enable, don't think this is the one, but it's worth trying. To make it soundless you can also use a mini jack in the speaker line on your modem, and don't conect the other end anywhere... but with this driver you don't have to...... IF ANYONE EVER FIND A DRIVER WHIT VOICE ENABLE, PLS THINK OF ME!! Sorry for
