"After searching in vain through windows disk and the internet for the correct driver, I pulled the modem AMR card, retreived the name of: FB PCTEL AMR of the expansion card, typed it into the search box for driverguide.com and BAM, there it was!

Worked perfect!

"I couldn't get this to install under Windows 2000 Professional. I went through the Hardware Installation Wizard, selected "Have Disk", then went to the folder where I extracted the zip file. But when I selected the INF file, nothing was listed zip, nada, blank. Am I doing this wrong?"

"Driver works perfectly in Windows 2000 Pro with Service Pak 3. Finally, a working driver after three days of searching! This AMR unit serves as my fax machine, without of which I could not fax anything. "Failed to load on XP Pro. Modem card label = Model FB PCTEL AMR. Window's message Windows cannot load the device for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. I tried twice and it failed both times. I'm off to look for a new driver ..."

"Worked fine for XP pro. This is the second time I've used this site and this driver for the FB PCTEL AMR MODEM. Maybe all you other potty mouths have bad modems and the driver works. Thanks."
