"this driver is the best around (i've tried 'em all). there's only one thing i'd like to know:

i'm running windows xp pro with 2 accounts, a limited account and an administrator account. when i log on with the limited account the s3 system tray icon is there so i can switch to tv out and back with ease.

but when i use the administrator account (wich is actually the on

e i use, the other one is for my girlfriend) the s3 icon doesn't appear in the system tray, so if i wanna switch to tv out i have to right click on the desktop, go to display properties etc etc wich takes much more time (even though s3tray2.exe is running).

is there an update or workaround for this problem?"

"Installed this on savage 2000 in a new albatron kx18dpro nvidia2 chipset mobo running xp pro SP1 w/DX9 (and media player 9) just to see if it would drive the card. 1 month later it's still in there working like a charm (NOT a gaming machine!). Drives my LCD monitor just fine.

Those of you whining about it passing the xp logo test just tell it to install it anyway! Mine

is running 1024 x 768 at 32 bit true color at 60HZ and the screen looks just as good for 2D work as it did with the nvidia mx440 that was originally in the machine. Don't expect this card to match a new 3D card in gameplay (it never did, the original drivers were screwy) no TV out is not a big deal to me, I wouldn't have use for it.

"This Driver freezes when it is opened with Full Screen with ANY media players. (it freezes after 20 minutes or so) Other than that, this driver is fine."

"I just recently bought my Savage 2000 and am using it on Windows XP Pro.Has anyone else had open GL problems using it with Directx 9.0 in a gaming application or am I doing something wrong?"

"I wonder if this driver will work with Counter-Strike. When I quit this game playing with previous version of savage 2000 driver.My system will appear terrible blue screen. then the system shut down.I was boring with this problem for a long time."

"I have a savage 2000 fixed freq video card and a Sony/Sun GDM-20D10 fixed freq Monitor and have tried over 20 different drivers that clamed to work but the best they would do is, that they worked fine except regular printing would wash out and you had to refresh to read it. This is the first XP driver that truely work on my setup. Thanks You Did Good AAA+"
