"Worked like a world champion. Clicked on the executable and the extraction process not only installed the device drivers but updated the device so that it worked and the yellow question mark disappeared in the Device Manager.

The files were obviously taken fromm DELL OEM as they ship it with a computer. Modem may work only in Windows XP."
