"HI Before using the patch I could start AsusDVD but it didn't work properly. Now I've try the patch but I get the "Please install ASUSDVD from Original disk" message, and even when uninstalling/installing ASUSDVD I can't start it anymore ! Any suggestion for me ?"

"Hey all, I got the same error message, "Please Install ASUSDVD from the original installation disk", BUT, when I tried playing a DVD, it worked fine. I did as suggested - uninstalled, reinstalled, then installed new driver. Also, when I start DVD 2000 from the XP start menu, it works fine now. Thanks, Nadeem!"

"Hi I also got the "Please install ASUSDVD from Original disk" error although I had uninstalled asus dvd then reinstalled it just prior to running the patch (CD was still in drive) any ideas what im missing?"

"Hi Nadeem. I was unable to apply this patch. Because I keep getting the error message "Please Install ASUSDVD from the original installation disk" I have checke if the original disk is in the drive, it is. could you give some advice?. I get "memory could not be written" errors."

"Thank you Nadeem, the driver worked as you said. I was getting failure messages like " update Direct Draw, resolution and directx" now it's working good. Off to see "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" thanks."
