"BIOS was upgraded in order to install 40GB hard drive and AMD K6-2 500MHz CPU (running at the max 400MHz on this motherboard). No hitches and upgraded hardware all works perfectly."

"After attempts via the Bios Manufacturer to charge me an arm and leg for this Bios update, I used this one '0109V_J2.ZIP' and it worked perfectly. Recognizes my 40gig drive and very stable. Thankyou!!"

"Finaly my ASUS mb detected 40GB SAMSUNG HD, but when splitting it with PartMagic, process hungs. I had to split it on other PC."

"damnnn .... there goes another mobo... updated ... reboot .. and .. NOTHING!!!!!!!!! :( .. .and the mobo is not even mine !!!!! am supposed to install a new 40Gig hard drive !!! :("

"Well, when I saw Ron's comment I was a bit reluctant to try the bios upgrade out - fortunately I had an old SP97-V mobo which I flashed or should I say - 'Tried to flash' and my response is similar to Ron Fejock. SP97-v with opriginal v1.00 bios. Downloaded 0109v_j2 upgrade and award flash utility. Everything appeared to work corectly,checksum match, Flash Completed. Rebo

"SP97-v with opriginal v1.00 bios. Downloaded 0109v_j2 upgrade and award flash utility. Everything appeared to work corectly,checksum match, Flash Completed. Rebooted & NOTHING - no video, no Post code, no floppy boot. Tried CMOS clear, still NOTHING. Tried simultaneous Alt. & F2 keys-NOTHING. Any suggestions???"

"Very cool, the bios works terrific, but someone can tell me the jumper setting to get 500mhz i just get 450 and the cpu are 500!!"

"well my MB was a ASUS SP97-V MTHBRD but using aflash from asus, aflash reported that update did not match. I looked at it closely, it said original was SP97 and this one was SP97-V. I ignored it and continued. Bios update was successful please turn the computer off. Then no post beep NO NOTHING ---- NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING"

"Hey J.Steunebrink, Great I am really excited about the ASUS SP97-V ver. 0109v-5, WOW I Could get a 500 on this instead of this 333Mhz. *What are the Jumper Settings you recommed or suggest for the 83.3 Bus going to download the Bios Now.
