"It did not correct the problem... My DVD rom still cannot read other DVD even from OEM DVD driver packs. well it was maybe the entire hardware was the problem ;0,"

"I was looking for a DVD mpeg decoder when I found this. It doesn't perform that function. Not sure what it does as the motherboard found and permits the CD to function without this driver."

"used this driver and the install went ok but the drive still won't operate, you hear the drive accessing the cd/dvd but nothing happens"

"ThankyouThankyouTHANKYOU! My LTD163D DVD-ROM drive has been inoperational for weeks, as a result of some form of driver corruption, following an installation of Content Protected CD software from a Columbia BMG Audio CD.

My IDE and CD-ROM drivers were unaffected, but the LTD163D was hopelessly hung...until now.

Driver Guide gave me the tool to cure my DVD-ROM drive.

"This is a firmware driver, not a software driver. I need a software driver so Device Manager can correctly configure my device."

"My DVD-ROM LTD-163D stopped to playback DVD after installing Windows 2000 on a new hard drive. I hoped that this driver will help to play DVD. But it updated only the DVD-ROM firmware, and DVD playback is unavailable as before. It means I need a DVD Decoder for this drive."
