"Hi... COVER OPEN... yes I had that problem to... In bios your LPT1 port must be ECP+EPP. and this driver works fine under XP

"the setup.exe file remains resident forever, but the actual setup wizard does not start. I had to close the program from task manager. really ugly behavior. Minolta sucks."

"I got one page to print on an NEC Superscript 660 Plus - this driver is supposed to work for that printer. Then I kept getting cover open repeatedly and then no response. I tried to install it through Minolta Install and Windows XP install - neither worked. NEC does not provide a driver for Windows XP"

"This one worked well for me on my Minolta PagePro 6L. Got Win XP thats been upgraded from w2k. and its not a clean install. Installed the program and didnt try the find new hardware. it installs a 1100L printer but its working like a charm."

"I have tried various versions of the driver for this printer on a winXP Pro machine. NONE of them have worked? Minolta have been unable to provide a solution to this, they just say that it is a problem with my BIOS settings. It appears that some XP users are able to print, and others aren't. If anyone knows any solution to this please let me know."

"Minolta as a company should be considering it's future. Sent email off and got this reply "As you are very much aware the 1100L driver does not support Windows XP" so Minolta lies - website state this driver is OK windows XP. Never ever going to purchase anything minolta again either for myself, my company and will never advise any of my students and friends to purchase su

"Just DO NOT BUY a MINOLTA QMS KONICA product EVER AGAIN. I regret it every moment since I bought it. Cover open, letters (other than english) are jamed together, autofeed sucks (it takes three or four pages) etc. PASS THE WORD AROUND. DO NOT BUY MINOLTA - QMS - KONICA"

"doesn't work, cover open etc.... I can't believe a company as Minolta doesn't write a driver for their clients... it will cost like 1000 dollar, while now nobody will ever buy a minolta printer again, which will cost the company way more than 1000 dollars!!"

"This driver will work on some pc's but not all. Call Minolta and they will exchange your printer for a later model at no cost. Main problem is cover open report."

"I agree with others. The driver is corrupted and I don't know why Minolta can't write a good driver, which will be working without idiot communicates. If you send more than one page to this printer, this is stopping to print and sometimes Win XP closes whole program and you loose your all data. Why Minolta doesn't care about their clients!"

"Cover Open. Of course it's a defective driver. Workaround Print one page (if u don't wanna lose paper then just print a small dot), then SHUTDOWN and START your printer again. Sometimes the last printed page will reprint. The rest of the pages will get printed just fine )"

"I'm realy going crazy or what?! It is printing one page perfectly then continually informe me that the printer cover was open - documents do not print! I dont't know what to do! Local Minolta source gave me the same defective driver. Is there anybody who can help me pls?! I have WindowsXP Pro."
