"Works well with WinME; I too do not use setup.exe to install modems. Right click on the file and extract the file to a desired folder. Then install or reinstall driver directing windows to the folder where you placed the file.

I used this for a modem that is part of a onboard modem(SIS 5595chipset mobo) I.E. this modem is not a standard type expansion card"

"Worked beautifully, however I didn't use the setup.exe, I directed windows ME to look in the directory that the files were in. I don't know why PCTel makes drivers so difficult to install and make work. Thanks again."
