"Installed in a Compaq - Armada 1700 6300/T/5000/D/M/1 Laptop. Installed OEM Windows XP-Home. Bad resolution on screen untill I installed this driver (65555pci) (WXPv250.zip)

Excellent results. Only problem, currently, is I have no "standby" button lighted on shutdown????

Any ideas what I need, now? Thanks.

"This driver has some problems in Windows Media Player 9 and DirectX 9c with DivX codec from Elisoft Codepack v14. This problem doesn't exist if you use the generic driver from Windows XP.

Otherwise, generic driver from Windows XP works excellent, but it appears into hardware not known list..."

"Used it with winXP Home on a compaq Armada 1700. Worked spot-on. Gives 1024 x 768 @ 16 bit or 800x600@24bit. Perfectly acceptable."

"I set up XP-Pro on an old Compaq Armada 1500c we had around the office. Aside from the 'not XP qualified message' during install it works great and thanks to Cleartype the screen has never looked better!!! Thanks a lot."

"I worked many hours trying to get an old Toshiba Tecra 500 configured to run Windows 98 and then thought "what the heck, I'll try XP and after installing the XP os I found your XP display driver for the C&T 6555 chip set. Works great, just performed a " driver reinstall". Thanks, made the whole project worth it."
