"Worked great on XP with Monster Sound 300 card & Altec Lansing ADA310 speakers! Just wish I could find a way to get a driver for my yellow qustion mark for the speakers!"

"The patch did the trick! Now the audio is back to normal(the onboard soundcard failed and I installed VortexAureal 8830 sound card.The manufacturer appears to be in a hurry to release the product without checking the compatibility with all chipsets(mine is VIA).Mr. Gary seiamato@hotmail.com, letter included has really helped in installation.Lastly, the excercise is like i

"A better istall option would benefit a lot of people. As hard as it may seem, there is still a lot of novice users out there.

"There was ease in everything I did except the part that tells you how to edit it. When I got there and clicked on Select Device, there was no option of Audio controller."

I had same problem. This solved it! Download to a new folder (not Temp) to avoid confusion. The directions are very clear."

"Downloaded driver. Set it up. 15 mins later working like a dream much better sound. Just open your eyes and read the instructions if I can do it anybody can."

"I installed this driver and followed the instructions that came with it, now instead of Aureal showing in device manager I have AC97 on the list!!. I ran the driver update twice and it still shows the same thing. I am in worse shape now than I was before.
