"This driver (once found) is great, did not have any problems installing it at all. I scanned a pic using MS Word and no problems. As for stability, I haven't really worked with it a whole lot so as for now I'm not sure how to answer that one."

"Just a few notes about installing the driver. Start by downloading the driver readyscan636i-XP.exe from DriverGuide.com and extracting the files in it by running that file from the Start button. During extraction, it will ask you for a folder to extract the files into, and then it will create the readyscan636i subfolder in the folder you specified and put all the files i

"theres no way to install it, the (scan_eng.inf),dos'nt have the (.inf) on it so when you open it there is nothing,and XP dos'nt have a device maniger only; C.P.-Scanners&cameras-add->have disk--->scan_eng--->open-->__________nothing"

"i was able to down load the driver for the 636i readyscan, however i can not get this to work with my windows xp all the info is in the files but when i use a program that i am ready to scan it does not execute!can anyone help i would appreciate it"

"I plugged the scanner into the USB port and downloaded this driver. I extracted the downloaded files. The system is detecting new hardware as a printer. I'm ignoring this and trying to load the driver via the device manager, but it'll only let me select the folder (not the Scan_ENG.inf file) and it's not finding the driver....I'm at my wits end "playing" but don't want

"I can download the file to my computer or A drive, but how do I make it execute in Windows XP? I am new to Windows XP so I'm not quite sure what I am doing. Your "To Install" directions are not clear to me. Can you make them any more elementary, please?"

"Dade, you are the Driver King! I swear my eternal allegiance... I have been searching the net for weeks looking for an XP driver for this scanner and you did it. You got it working again! I just scanned a small wallet photo in Adobe Photoshop and it worked fine no problems."
