"Downloading on Linux to fix a Windows system is impossible because you cant download the file only a downloader which doesn't run on Linux or under Wine.

Very poor if you need drivers for a crashed system and don't run Windows.

"Worked just fine after searching for a while on the net. After the install of Win 98SE this was one of the drivers which I was missing. Luckily my HP Pavillion had no more red exclamation marks after this install. Tho was kinda old style without an installer, had to point it manually to the location of the file."

"This driver worked excellently for my Intel 82801 DB AC'97 sound card. After I failed to locate it on the Intel website I found it here on DriverGuide.com. The only reason I can't say anything yet about the stability of the driver is because I have just installed it."

"Works Perfect! I've download up to 45 megas from Intel's website and nothing works... it took less tan a minute and at the first try the sound card was installed.

"This driver did not work for my dual boot IBM Netvista. XP showed the onboard sound card as the Intel 82801 AC '97 BA/BAM card. I tried this and another driver that I kinda figured wouldn't work, but was worth trying. I finally ended up downloading the 7 MEG RAR file and it seems to work. I would recommend downloading that file first vice the rest."
