"Well, just in case I put it is winnt\system32, winnt\system32\drivers and winnt\system. It will not even recognise a dvd in the drive for what is supposed to be a DDVD/CDRW. All in all, a waste of time. Maybe I better invest in a PCMCIA USB2 card and connect an external DVD-RW to it."

"The driver downloaded as a 9k .sys file that will not install, when you try to update the driver and surf to the place where you put it on your hard drive, it will not be recognized. The file must be bigger than 9k."

"It doesn't matter where you put the file. You goto your hardware wizard and update your driver for your cd-rom. It will ask you (if you choose the right option) where to look for the driver. Then you put the path to wherever it is. It copys it to the system directory where it needs to go and installs it with your cd-rom."

"i have a typical problem,with my cdrw drive that is it doent copy all the files on to the cd,it stops in the middle,with out completing the whole process,so i am downloading this driver to fix this problem, this could be the software problem also,lets hope it works"
