"Had to swap the Conexant ADSL Wan card from my PC into a couple of friends' PC's in turn to use my fast link to pull lots of MS updates etc. Driver supplied with the card worked in 2 out of 3 but not in the 3rd (Packard Bell) PC. Pulled this driver and although rec'd some error msgs. upon installing it worked fine and was very stable. Tried 4 drivers in total, this one

"Windows XP Pro loaded a driver but it didn't work. This one does (Like a dream) On Conexant accessrunner adsl wan adapter. Thanks. Just unzip, remove old driver (if you have one) Then direct windows to the folder-Presto! (I think a reboot helps.)"

How to Update Conexant AccessRunner PCI ADSL LAN Adapter Device Drivers Quickly & Easily

  • In Windows XP, click Start -> Control Panel -> Performance and Maintenance -> System -> Hardware tab -> Device Manager button

How to Install a driver from Device Manager

  1. Locate the device and model that is having the issue and double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  2. Select the Driver tab.

  3. Click the Update Driver button and follow the instructions.

In most cases, you will need to reboot your computer in order for the driver update to take effect.
