"This appears to be the old 98 driver simply - and erroneously - posted as an XP driver. I've spent 6 hours today trying to rig a system so as to use the Olympus scanner. What a waste of time."

"The ES-10 worked fine on my Windows 98 system, however, it will not install properly on my new XP system. I tried to install this driver on my Windows XP system. This driver is a waste of time. I did arrive at workable solution. I set up a dual boot system (Windows 98 and Windows XP) and use the 98 OS when I want to scan. At least I didn't have to go out a buy a PC with Wi

"VMware would be fine but it costs more than a new scanner. It is much cheaper to take an old e.g. 166MHz PC from a "computer-cemetery" and use it only with the ES-10. Don't buy Olympus-Products!"

"This IS NOT an XP driver - it is the same one distributed on the CD with the original drivers that came with the scanner. Olympus really needs to come through and develop an XP driver for this scanner!"

To get further (and actually install), copy es10_p directory from your original install disk. Then copy the setup.exe from this site over the setup.exe in that folder, and run setup. "I downloaded, and can't install. Please, some one, if a driver is found, post it here, so we can all use our scanner. I hate to purchase a new scanner simply for driver reasons, and I like this scanner"

"Same problem. I reinstalled this on an older computer successfully.(Windows 98) All three selections install at the same time. Scanning is extremely slow for good resolution on older computer. It installed on XP, but scanner is not recognized."

"Same experience. Downloaded Setup.exe file. Opening file does not allow for any of the three choices. I would not of upgraded to Windows XP if known Olympus does not support this excellent ES-10 scanner any more. Please fix this driver file so that we all can use it!!"

"Found the same problem reported by others. Unable to select any of the three options presented for installation. Have you all complained to Olympus about their failure to support their customers? ES-10 and APS adapter cost me a fair few pennies. Now obsoleted by my (unavoidable) upgrade to XP."
