"The Umax S-12 scanner was recognized in Windows 2000 Pro. However, had to use MagicScan (v4.3) for the scanner to work."

"Joey and L.A.,

If you go to the Microsoft Knowledge Base link at the bottom of the info.htm file in this download, it tells you how to add a registry key which prevents the multiple finds. Yes, they really were annoying! I also plan to do a new upload in a couple weeks which will include a .reg file which will do this without having to use regedit."

"Works perfect! the only trouble comes while using twain and scsi together on XP. from time to time it cause crashes. overall, it works perfect"

Thank you. The link to the vs355su.exe file in Europe was correct, and the UMAXUSD3.INF file you provided functioned as required. I downloaded, but did not use, the "XP patch" 2xxxupdater.exe found in Europe because everything seems stable so far."

"When loaded with the Vista software that accompanied (and later updated) UMAX S-12, my XP tries to load both drivers, repeatedly, until about 4 of each are found in Device Manager, and I get a message saying it may not work. It DOES work, but, it goes through an aggravating 8 drive load every time I boot. Any suggestions?"
