"First installation as per instructions made no difference - all sound still sounded like a robot's teeth chattering! De-installing the drivers via Device Manager and re-booting did the trick. New devices were found, and now all DXDIAG sound tests work OK. My antiquated system is happy once again."

"Downloaded this driver and unzipped it about 5 times before i could get it to work on my thinkpad 600e.

I'm sure it can be done once for some people, i can't believe it was so difficult. Maybe it's me !!!!"

"I have Windows Server 2003 Enterprice Edition. I have tested this driver, but dosen't work. I've got the error message, as "Entry Point Not Found". also have "missing procedure entry point in Kernel32.dll..." Can I get a help???"

"This driver is working great on a Dell OptiPlex GX1 with Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. It enables the Crystal WDM Audio Codec, the Crystal WDM MPU-401 and the Crystal Audio Control Registers. It plays sounds, music, etc. It is stable and runs great. The drivers are MSHQL certified. "The Driver worked well.But still it stops and rings/vibrates like aphone.It worked well on win98 but registry got corrupted now iam on win ME.Win98 cannot load anymore.My PC Model is Dell LATITUDE Cpi D300XT.Itis indicating that VcrVideo MMSYSTEM 262 has aproblem.Please can somebody help me."

"Didn't work for me. I have a Crystal 423x driver on a Thinkpad 600E. The error I get is "unable to install due to invalid service description in INF file". This occurs on all devices, i.e., MPU-401, etc."
