"It work best if you make a new folder in C: named HP840C, for the file to unpack in! I personally don't care for files being added to the desk top! But other than that it's great!"

"This file does work. Create a folder somewhere and save the .exe file in it. It doesn't matter if the status shows only 10%, after double clicking it, just make sure that a new folder has been created. Then go to strat->Settings->printers and follow the instructions when choosing the type of your printer browse back to your folder and keep opening the directories until

"YES..YES...YES IT WORKS!!! Firstly download file, then unistall your usb printer port via (controlpanel/system/device manager/hardware) then restart. Windows 2000 will auto detect your usb port & re-install it, your printer will also be detected and when it asks to auto search drivers choose manual and simply browse to where you installed the file and HEY PRESTO!! it's sm

"Oh yes... as I have read above, this selfextracting file from good old HP is yet another example of the level of service and product quality we can expect these days.. This file does not work!! After downloading the file from hp.com I found that it stopped selfextracting after about 10%. S I downloaded it from here. And yet again it stopped extracting after 10%. Regards
