"I tried using this friver with Windows XP and a Scanport SQ2000. When I look at the device manager I see a yellow flag associated with "Microtek SimpleSCSI Miniport Drivers" It seems it doesn't like the "smplsci.sys" driver. Does anyone have a solution. Thanks!"

"I've reviewed it before and it is still the best driver for my Scanport SQ2030 with the Hamrick VueScan with Windows XP. Basic scans at 300dpi and OCR's of typewritten or printed documents are no problem. I am looking for other software to try for the higher optical resolutions or image interpolation claimed on the box the scanner came in.."

"I installed this driver and realized I had some other issues, once I got those worked out, my SQ300 scanner is working with Windows XP Pro. Trust me, I had a problem with my system crashing, lockling up and several other brain farts, I dont have an owners manual for my scanner so it was all trial and error. This is actually the driver you can get from the microtek website.

"Hard to get these old scanners to work on newer machines. Haveing a scanner driver work on the first try is like winning the lottery. This one is certianly going to get archived here in the lab."

"This driver does not work with XP no way no how. Tried every which way, it just won't go. I guess I just have to give up and buy a new one. Microtek ScanMakers with the simplescsi/parallel just won't work in XP. Second one I've fought with (and several choices of drivers too :( Thanks anyway."

"This driver may be a good download, but don't try use it to install a Scanport scanner onto Windows XP with it. Not compatible."

"This driver recognizes a Microtek ScanMaker V310 scanner which I purchased in 1997 on Windows XP Home Edition!!! However, none of the supplied Microtek SW works to operate the scanner BUT the scanner does operate with vintage 1997 Ulead Photo Express SW which came with the scanner."

"Doesn't work for sq2036. Error about microtek simplescsi miniport drivers comes up in device manager. If anyone can help me out i'd appreciate it. Thx"
