"i have a gd-2500 i salvaged out of an old aptiva and the ibm motherboard had all the drivers for it i downloaded all the gd-2500 files for xp that this site and not ONE has worked so don't waste your time...if you're looking for decoders, you're better off buying windvd for only $10...if the rom doesn't work at all, spend the $30-$40 on a new one. it's not worth reformatti

"On an XP system, this file needs to by copied into the Windows directory, at the following address C \WINDOWS\system32\drivers I nothing else is required to install the file other than to place it into the correct subdirectory and overwrite the one that is there. "I could'nt find a driver for the DVD player for about a year.(GD-2500) Then just the other day I found one. It's located at www.cliprex.com and it's free. Download the free Cliprex Lite video player and install it. They include decoders that will work with Windows XP."
