"It is hard to blame the driver in this case because I really don't know the system manuf. The M/B is an Elite k7s5a and their recomended driver didn't install either. Seems some manuf are so insecure that planned obsolescence is their only was to stay in bussiness. Functionally a modem is not as complicated as the number of drivers would have you believe.
