"This driver works! You just have to copy it to the correct folder so that the system can find it on startup. I placed it in \Windows\System\Drivers folder on my Windows 2000 Pro system and rebooted. You may need WinDVD or PowerDVD software as well if you want to play movie DVDs, and you may need Interactual's IAPlayer software for certain interactive disks. Those sayin

"This file is on my computer, but unfortunately I dont know how it got there. "THIS FILE DOES WORK... Just awkward...

Once downloaded copy/move the file into:

\\Windows\System\Drivers and \\Windows\System32\Drivers

Now do like Jeremy says...

I have XP, and this driver wouldn't help cause its not compatible with XP

Here is the advice I got and worked for me, I hope it helps you.

1. Click Start and choose Control Panel.

"If you have WinXP, and liteon ltd163 dvd drive read on

My DVD drive wasn't playing any DVDs, it thought it was on a CD drive only. Needless to say I looked here For a replacement driver. I could find anything on the net, not even liteon's site

I have XP, and this driver wouldn't help cause its not compatible with XP
