"I tried this driver on a salvaged modem. Driver installation was a breeze in XP. Modem was dead! At more than 60k downloads, 85% ain't bad at all. TRY IT!"

"With mainboard Intel chip 82443LX/EX /Pentium(r)II 400MHZ, and Lucent (Agere) 1646TOO chip model CW-56LU-PCI locks up on install, loose use of modem, must reinstall previous driver manual throught device properties. The driver to use is modem822.exe. It works great!"

"Driver worked great. After double clicking Modem_v604-2.exe, all the labels in the dialog box were corrupt except for "ok". After that initial concern, everything went fine."
